CHICAGO, June 23, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — CNA today launched The View From Home, an innovative program offering eligible long-term care policyholders additional services to help age in place.
The View From Home will launch its first phase of service offerings through a partnership with The Helper Bees, an insurtech company dedicated to easing aging in place through digital technologies. Together, CNA and The Helper Bees will offer select long-term care policyholders complimentary, 12-month access to a Care Concierge program.
While not an insurance benefit, the Care Concierge program will provide personalized guidance in navigating the challenges a family or an individual faces when they require long-term care. A care concierge will work with the insured to understand their situation and educate them on resources, including options not covered by insurance, which may assist with aging in place. For example, a care concierge can help an insured to coordinate home safety assessments, meal delivery services, local support groups, medication management, or transportation services.
“We believe that the launch of this new program will greatly assist aging individuals and their families to navigate the process of finding care, as well as understand what local resources are available to them,” said John Palmer, Vice President, Operations, Long-Term Care, CNA. “CNA’s View From Home and the Care Concierge program will support our policyholders’ ability to age in place, helping them find needed services and avoid challenges that could lead them to move to a facility.”
“The Helper Bees approach to a modern aging in place content platform, home care and data science elevates CNA’s ambition to assist their policyholders to age in place,” said Char Hu, PhD, CEO and co-founder of The Helper Bees. “Not only does Care Concierge ease the burden of identifying what information and services are available, but it also helps individuals engage with the appropriate service providers.”
